About Callie Dahl
Hey, I'm Callie! I'm a slightly whimsical, fairly spooky, neurodivergent writer who resides in Montana, USA.
I am forever fascinated with folklore, mythology,
and the art of staying at home
as often as possible.

As a chronic Romantasy reader, turned Indie Author, I love to help cheer on aspiring authors and those who have already published (trad & indie!) And as someone diagnosed with ADHD, I also painfully understand the extra hurdles we have to jump while writing. Burnout, rejection sensitivity, and perfection paralysis are my constant companions, which often work hard to keep me mute on the days I need to ask for help. If you have ADHD and are an aspiring author or published author who is struggling to write or get to your next checkpoint, please know that my DMs are ALWAYS open.
The publishing journey can be very isolating for everyone and it is sometimes so difficult to find authentic support systems while you’re in the thick of it, so if you need a cheerleader, or if you just need to vent your frustrations, I'm your gal!
Socials

Favorite monsters to read/ write-
VAMPIRES.
You can pry those ancient bloodsuckers
from my cold, dead hands.
But I do enjoy creating some creep crawly creatures with wings or scales.
favorite advice for writers-
This has been said many times but I'm going to yell it - NEVER, I REPEAT, NEVER DELETE SCENES OR DIALOGUE. Make a document and label it "Graveyard" and throw all unused writing in there. I swear, the best ghosts to keep around are your own words. You'll be happy to go through the tombstones later and find usable quotes or tags that you otherwise would have completely forgotten about.
Favorite Genre
to read -
Romantasy or Dark fantasy. Although I dabble in contemp. romance or paranormal / sci-fi reads when I want to switch things up.
Favorite trope(s) -
ONLY ONE HORSE! ONLY ONE BED!
YEARNING! SLOW BURNS!
FOUND FAMILY!
"I hate everyone but you" or "Ill burn the world down to avenge you"
